I changed the oil and filters at 130,000 km when I bought it, and after 700 km the dipstick showed about 1/3 below max. There was never intended to be lash adjustments within that mileage span even though it's a solid (non-hydraulic lash adjustment) valvetrain. The Focus MK2 with 2.0 Duratec HE engine has some differences compared to the 1.8 Duratec HE. The 2.0 Duratec HE has a different gearbox from the 1.8 Duratec HE. The thermostat and EGR are on opposite sides of the engine. The EGR is above the gearbox, and the thermostat is behind the power steering pump.
